My country is home to rare ‘pearls’ that you won’t find anywhere else in the world—at least, I haven’t come across anything quite like them. (Not that I’m actively searching for them.)

In 2017, I began an exciting landscape photography project focused on capturing the breathtaking beauty of the Gorenjska Region.
A long-term initiative focused on showcasing Slovenian pearls on carefully selected strategic dates and moments, emphasising their unique beauty and cultural importance.
I marked the solstice date with excitement, eagerly awaiting the quiet magic of the night. After everyone had fallen asleep, I packed my gear and drove to Lake Bled, where I absorbed the serene beauty, letting it lift my spirits.
Shooting alone all night can be long, so I brought a colleague to join me for the overnight shoot. Perfect decision!
To fully enjoy unique experiences, I prefer to avoid crowded tourist areas. That’s why I take great pleasure in capturing long exposures at night.
When capturing landscapes, I aim for a peaceful atmosphere to fully connect with my camera and the beauty surrounding me.
I vividly remember the sky glowing with a stunning array of colours. It was around 3:40 PM, yet it felt like the day had just begun.
As the morning unfolds, the sky awakens with a stunning golden sunrise, casting its warm glow over the majestic mountains.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky over Church Bled burst into a stunning display of colours, enchanting all who gazed upward until 8:00 PM. After fully immersing myself in that magical moment, I packed my gear and eagerly headed to Vila Prešeren. There, I enjoyed my favourite rich black coffee, a truly wonderful way to conclude such a captivating day!
Bled, often called the Pearl of the Alps, is the first Slovenian treasure I wish to share with you. It is a enchanting destination enveloped by pristine nature in the heart of the Alps. Bled is located at the southern foot of the Karawanks mountain range, near the border with Austria, about 50 km northwest of Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
