MY STORY

GOING?DIGITAL&ONLINE

**Spirit of Nepal, Kathmandu Valley, 2017**
Unfulfilled dreams represent opportunities yet to be realised. I embrace the power of dreaming whenever I can. I may not sleep much at night, often gazing at the stars, but during the day, I immerse myself in vivid daydreams. This practice fuels my passions and fulfils my desires, making every moment more meaningful.

Photographing, travelling, and writing all align with daydreaming too. Some dreams are everlasting, fulfilled yet never meant to be completed.

As I begin this journey, I want my first entry to reflect the realness of my experiences without sticking to a strict timeline. After all, my last name, Mišmaš, is a lifelong companion—why should order limit me? Embracing the unpredictability of travel, I invite you to join me on this adventure.

I was delighted to return to the Philippines for a second time, eager for another adventure! My first visit left me curious about the islands’ beauty, and this time I was prepared to fully embrace their charm. We explored the southern and eastern regions, immersing ourselves in the captivating Central Visayas and the stunning Northern Mindanao, which features the enchanting Palawan and the lively Central Luzon. I couldn’t wait to discover more of these incredible places!

In 2012, I was in Surigao, a vibrant city in northern Mindanao, Philippines, and had a transformative experience that altered my perspective on life.

As this image shows, I was out of sync with the environment around me, and it’s perfectly fine not always to feel OK, or her eyes reflected my thoughts of the day.

** Family Triangle, Indonesia, Bali, 2011**
When travellers visit Ubud, they quickly find it difficult to leave, often prolonging their stay beyond two weeks on their first visit. The enchanting atmosphere of Ubud invites you to explore more and cherish every moment. Its charming little streets are filled with stories, just like this lovely family, who embodies love and happiness at every turn.

Ubud provides a distinctive experience that sets it apart from typical Indonesian destinations, much like how Kuta differs from Bali. Here, you’ll encounter friendly local families eager to converse and share their culture, and you can enjoy playful moments with children in the community.

Ubud captivates with its enchanting mix of historical charm and the calming scent of incense. This peaceful atmosphere creates a unique appeal that resonates deeply with the soul. In stark contrast, Kuta’s busy modern vibe, filled with a maze of surfboards, feels out of place and fails to inspire the same connection.

Happiness, goodwill, and love burst from every stone, dish, temple, or even a rice paddy at every turn. I had the chance to capture it in an enchanting town.

This story still keeps me awake at night as I process endless thoughts. I see all the emotions he must have experienced in his eyes. Dedicated, soulful, and determined to push through a week-long Hindu festival, Thaipusam, in Malaysia, Penang, 2011.

**When you believe, Malaysia, Penang, Thaipusam, 2012**
Reflecting on belief takes me back to the lively Thaipusam festival in Penang, Malaysia, in 2012. It was a meaningful journey, showing not only my resilience but also a deeper strength inside. Despite the hardships and the sweat, the experience was rewarding and inspiring!

Passenger, Bangkok, Thailand, 2015
I enjoy all kinds of markets. Recently, I have come to appreciate colourful markets the most, beyond digital photography-related ones. Playing hide and seek with shadows, I sometimes encounter sunshine that offers a golden hour effect at midday, it’s just perfect.

**Ancient architect, Cambodia, Angkor Wat, 2013**
A person I deeply admire once remarked that the camera is a master of deception, revealing only what it wants us to see. However, another wise man told me yesterday, “Look through the lens; there are things impossible to see with the naked eye.

* Welcome to Guatemala, 2015
I’m excited to embark on this incredible journey! Already, I can see that in my quest for the perfect light and image, I might uncover a new perspective of myself through the lens. Exciting times lie ahead!

**Timeless, Cappadocia, Turkey, 2014** My time in Turkey was truly remarkable. Gliding across the enchanting landscape of Cappadocia on a peaceful morning felt surreal and deeply calming. The view of the land from above was unforgettable—an experience that exceeded any helicopter or plane journey I have ever had.

Mr William Albert Allard, whom I proudly call a friend, shared valuable advice with me: *You’ve got to push yourself harder. You have to start looking for pictures that nobody else could take. You have to take the tools you have and probe deeper.*

Mr. William Albert Allard, a true master of photography, alongside Mr. Gavin Gough, delves deeply into the realms of photography and life itself, urging us to reflect on both the art we create and the experiences we share.
