On sunny days, the golden light crowns the churches with radiant beauty. On rainy days, a mysterious fog envelops them in an enchanting veil of wonder.
As the new moon casts its darkness over the end of August, it creates an ideal setting for an enchanting evening of stargazing, wouldn’t you agree?
This time, I felt disappointed with the results of my images and believe there is room for improvement.
After some careful brainstorming, I realised that I still have useful equipment left in the car from my last shoot, which could improve our upcoming project.
I kept the camera shutter open longer and started drawing lines as I slowly approached the church, using the LED lights in my hands, on my head, and on my legs for illumination.
Although I may not have reached my goal straight away, I undertook a wonderfully enjoyable night full of walking that I truly appreciated.
After many walks, I’ve found the perfect balance between shutter speed and distance, unlocking the potential for stunning photography.
The soft glow of rose light behind the church beautifully marked the end of our overnight project on the other side. It was a rewarding finish that truly transformed the space.
